Reporting bugs
Open an issue at github.com/songurov/tratto/issues, or use Help › Visit Issue Tracker.
What to include
- The version of tratto: Tratto › About Tratto, or the version shown in the status bar.
- Your system: the Linux distribution or the macOS version, and the processor.
- Your Git: the output of
git --version. - What you did, what you expected and what happened, step by step, with a screenshot if it shows the problem.
- The message tratto showed, word for word. tratto tells you why something failed in its own words; that text is the fastest way to the cause.
Leave out anything private: tokens, passwords, the contents of a private repository.
Try a clean configuration
To see whether a setting or one of your own files causes the problem, start tratto with an empty configuration folder:
TRATTO_CONFIG_DIR="$(mktemp -d)" ~/Applications/tratto-0.2.0-linux-x86_64.AppImage
Your real configuration is not touched.
A broken configuration file
When one of your files is wrong, tratto skips it, uses the built-in one and shows why at the bottom of the settings: the file, the place and the reason. Fix the file, or move it away, and restart.
Logs
tratto does not write log files yet.
